A recent and fabulous variety for giving the moist, shady border a Japanese lift! It grows into a compact, cascading mounds about 20-30cm high and 40-60cm wide.
The blades are variagated green, cream and yellow throughout spring and summer. Once temperatures coll down in the autumn they develop a luscious plum-purple hue, giving an exciting mix of colours through the winter. You can see why this would also be succesful in a container! Prefers partial shade but tolerant of full shade as well. Cut back to ground level in late winter/early spring, before new growth appears and that's it! Very low maintenace for a great look. Superb with ferns and Japanese maples for an oriental look .
