Evergreen, height to 40cm.
A very easy growing variety with attractive violet purple flowers. Clumps in a well behaved, compact manner but with good vigour. One of the great harbingers of spring Young foliage is a bronze colour with hints of purple, maturing to green.
Prefers a humus rich neutral-acid soil in shade.
