Arum dioscoridis

A hardy perennial if given good drainage. Very variable in shades of purples and greens, all forms are definitely worth growing! They prefer full sun in a rich soil. They die down during summer so should be kept dry during this period, especially important of growing in pots. The growing period is during the winter where they enjoy the cold and moisture but they should never sit in water, flowering is in the spring. Good drainage is essential with this species coming as it does from the eastern Mediterranean
It grows about 30cm tall.
